It's just not happening, sorry.

Good grief - been back for two weeks (or is it three now?) and I've hardly been around here any more than when I was away. Combination of lack of free time, a touch of the black dog, and a really persistent lurgi that keeps creeping back and sitting on me just when I seem to be crawling back again.

It's a nice day out there though. I've hung three lots of washing out and haven't thrown up once. Surely that's something to celebrate.

Sorry you're not feeling your best Margie, the dreaded lurgi will eventually take the hint and go, the black dog needs to be taken out for a long walk and accidently on purpose lost along the way..

But hey!, good news on the washing front, it will definitely dry!..

Take good care of yourself Margie, make that your priority..

Huddles, hot tea, chocolate, and soothing music sent to you from afar..x..

Oh Margie! So very sorry you've been having a bad time. Ahem...when my dog had the same symptoms, our vet diagnosed her as having post holiday depression....maybe a visit to the Vet? I hesitate to suggest but....

I agree with Gypsy though on the long walk bit. Even black dogs cheer up with that kind of activity.

Big Vally hugs winging their way to you, dear Margie, and all good wishes for a speedy return to the Margie we all love. xxx

Thanks lovelies. Actually I'm feeling pretty good today. And ashamed - after I posted this yesterday I read that Meg Fox (of Blogdom and Who fan fame - I think you all knew of her), had sadly (what an understatement) succumbed to her cancer. The news rocked me totally, and made me feel very humble, spoilt and incredibly lucky. Meg leaves a husband and four children, and was younger than I am. I whinge no more.

Gypsy, I shall remember the "walkies" treatment, as well as the gentler approach. My personal black dog is appallingly badly behaved, so running off without me should be no problem for him.

Hi Grace - you're almost right, but actually, passing out THEN throwing up was the worst - I did that on Sunday in the car on the way home from my sister's. Fortunately Colin was driving, and was able to pull over and sort me out pretty quickly. I tell you, we make good lurgis around these parts! All bettter now though, thanks.

Vally, bless you, I'm off to the vet tomorrow as it happens, and I hope he will tell me it's nothing another holiday won't fix! I'll let you know where he suggests I go and see you there, shall I?

Ooh, that reminds me - I still haven't caught up with The Skipper's Child. A treat to look forward to.

Hi Marige, I was also very saddened to hear about Meg. I'd always been an occasional visitor to her blog, and enjoyed reading her posts before she became so ill. She was witty, funny and had a very special view on life. Her courage in the face of her cancer was an inspiration. I am so terribly sorry for her children, and feel so lucky that I have been able to watch mine grow to adulthood and beyond.

I've got my washing out today!..
Mind you I haven't got a garden so I hang it out my window..if it gets too windy my washing may blow on to a passing pedestrian, car or bus and cause mayhem!..(multiple piles ups, people walking in to lamposts)

Watch this space!..you might see my smalls on the news!..hopefully not the belly warmers!..
